If you're looking for an unusual family outing in Quebec City, come spend the day with us and become an apprentice archaeologist! On August 8 and 15, 2026, the team at the Moulin des Jésuites invites you to its archaeologist apprentice day. From excavations to experimental archaeology to artifact restoration, the archaeologist apprentice day will allow you to explore all facets of this profession! You can create your own pottery artifact and take it home. Don't forget your lunch, sunscreen, and reusable water bottle, as we'll be picnicking in the Moulin's park. On the schedule: • 10 a.m. Guided tour of the Moulin des Jésuites • 10:30 a.m. Treasure hunt • 11:30 a.m. Archaeological digs • 12 p.m. Lunch break • 12:45 p.m. Artifact restoration • 1:30 p.m. Experimental pottery archaeology To know about the Archaeologist Apprentice Day Cancelled in case of heavy rain.
