If you're looking for an unusual family outing in Quebec City, come spend the day with us and become an apprentice archaeologist! On August 8 and 15, 2026, the team at the Moulin des Jésuites invites you to its apprentice archaeologist day. From excavations to experimental archaeology to artifact restoration, the apprentice archaeologist day will allow you to explore all facets of this profession! You can create your own pottery artifact and take it home. Don't forget your meal, sunscreen, and reusable water bottle, as we'll be picnicking in the Moulin's park. On the schedule: • 10 a.m. Guided tour of the Moulin des Jésuites • 10:30 a.m. Treasure hunt • 11:30 a.m. Archaeological excavations • 12 p.m. Lunch break • 12:45 p.m. Artifact restoration • 1:30 p.m. Experimental pottery archaeology Good to know about the Apprentice Archaeologist Day Cancelled in case of heavy rain.
