Metallica Tribute by Alcoholica at Quartier de Lune
Every time AlcoholicA sets foot on the Quartier de Lune stage, it's a success. So once again, we present the best Metallica Tribute on Saturday, September 5th, starting at 9 PM. For over 20 years, AlcoholicA has been recognized as the most popular tribute band in Canada.. In addition to appearing on several variety shows, including a special performance on the famous TV quiz "Le Banquier", they have also performed over 100 shows per year, in front of many sold-out venues, in the most prestigious clubs and festivals in Canada such as: • Woodstock en Beauce (35,000 spectators) • Jonquière en musique (10,000 spectators) • Festival de la releve, Thetford Mines (14,000 spectators) • Thunder, (Toronto) • Pepsi Coliseum, Qc. City (8000 spectators) • L’Agora, Qc. City (5,000 spectators) • Bike Show, Rivière du loup (4000 spectators) • Festival Grand Rire de Quebec, Qc. City (3500 spectators) In 2004, the members of AlcoholicA had the chance to meet the famous band Metallica during their last visit to Montreal where James Hetfield declared: "Thank you for continuing the tradition". Following this meeting, photos and videos of this memorable encounter titled: Metallica meets AlcoholicA were featured on Metallica's website. Two days later, members of the band Godsmack, which has sold millions of albums, spontaneously participated in an AlcoholicA show in Quebec City. They were simply amazed by the depth, passion, and precision of the band's repertoire. The same evening, some members of the Metallica touring crew, and particularly Flemming Rasmussen (known as the engineer and co-producer of the albums Ride The Lightning (1984) and Master of Puppets (1986)) ended their evening by attending AlcoholicA's performance and were impressed by the quality of the show.
