March for World Suicide Prevention Day
Parc de l'Anse-à-Cartier
The Walk for World Suicide Prevention Day is a unifying and symbolic event organized by the Centre de prévention du suicide de Québec at Parc de l'Anse-à-Cartier. This walk aims to raise public awareness, break taboos surrounding suicide, and offer a supportive space for individuals in distress or bereaved. Participants, encouraged to wear a white t-shirt as a sign of solidarity, join specialized intervention workers for a peaceful walk filled with hope. The atmosphere fosters benevolent exchange, where everyone can find a listening ear and compassion, thus contributing to building a more supportive community. Animations and activities are also planned for the whole family.
