If you're looking for an unusual family outing in Quebec City, come spend the day with us and become an apprentice archaeologist! On August 8 and 15, 2026, the Jesuit Mill team invites you to its apprentice archaeologist day. From excavations to experimental archaeology and artifact restoration, the apprentice archaeologist day will allow you to explore all facets of this profession! You can create your own pottery artifact and take it home. Don't forget your lunch, sunscreen, and reusable water bottle, as we'll be picnicking in the Mill's park. On the schedule: 10 a.m. Guided tour of the Jesuit Mill 10:30 a.m. Treasure hunt 11:30 a.m. Archaeological excavations 12 p.m. Lunch break 12:45 p.m. Artifact restoration 1:30 p.m. Experimental pottery archaeology To know about the Apprentice Archaeologist Day Cancelled in case of heavy rain.
