Le Grand Marché de Québec
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Grand Marché de Québec (220, boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, on the ExpoCité site) is hosting the Journée de la culture intérieure, a free public event by the Urban Agriculture Education Center, a project of the City of Quebec coordinated by Les Urbainculteurs. On the program, ways to grow at home during the cold season: hydroponics, microgreens, and sprouting, to keep greenery all winter long (source: Québec animée, consulted on September 10, 2026). No registration is announced. The activity takes place rain or shine, unless the weather compromises safety. This is the last of the fall themed days at the Center at the Grand Marché, after herbology on September 12, harvesting and processing on September 19, garlic day on October 3, and garden closing on October 17. Voilà Québec's tip: the Grand Marché brings together more than a hundred producers and artisans from the region, enough to do your weekend shopping and have lunch on site after the workshop.
