Formed in 2016, the Montreal-based group Comment Debord offers groovy and relaxed rock with lyrics. The septet draws inspiration from 70s music to deliver a distinctly Quebec sound that navigates between disco, funk, indie, and folk influences. After 'Comment Debord' in 2020 and 'Monde Autour' in 2023, two albums acclaimed by critics and embraced by the public, they received several nominations at the ADISQ Gala in 2024 (including Album of the Year – Critics' Choice, Album of the Year – Pop, and Song of the Year), won the FEQ Rising Star Award in 2025, and performed a concert at MTelus in a double bill with Bon enfant at the Francos de Montréal. Comment Debord is currently preparing a third offering, which promises to be both danceable and unifying.
