For Pierre, in his magnificent insomniac delusions, imagines himself on stage as a radio host recounting his own life, while his audience sits right there in the room before him… Through his recollections, Pierre revisits childhood memories and a career filled with adventures, brilliantly embodying key figures of Quebec culture. This marks his farewell to the solo stage. Co-written with Pierre-Michel Tremblay, Pour une dernière voix offers a journey from the 1960s to today, crossing paths with François Legault, Michel Tremblay, Luc Plamondon, Robert Charlebois, and many others. A tender and humorous show where Pierre Verville's personal journey blends with our collective history. He is accompanied on stage by musician Nadine Turbide. A presence on the cultural scene for over 40 years—having started at the Lundis des ha ha! in 1983—the comedian and actor has a wealth of experience to draw upon for this final show. Pierre Verville was one of the stars of the radio show À la semaine prochaine, which recently concluded after 17 seasons on Radio-Canada. He also portrays Marc Duchesne in the series Ravages on Illico, and received warm acclaim this summer at Véronique Claveau's gala at the Juste pour rire Québec festival.
