Our Moorings is a project initiated in the summer of 2020 during an artist's stay with her parents. As the onset of her mother's illness exacerbates her awareness of her body space, the artist feels the need to explore the disconnect experienced by placing a common object – the rowboat – in a territory that is not its own. This then becomes a metaphor for discomfort and quest, staging the strangeness of a self in a state of hyper-vigilance with itself. This site uses cookies to improve your browsing experience.
