Exhibition - The Monstrous Company - Laura Bouflet
Have you never wondered what happened to the monster that lived under your bed? The one you feared as a child, lurking in the shadows. The silent presence of that old wardrobe you dared not open. What if they have been accompanying you, despite yourself, since childhood? What if ghouls, ghosts, and fantastical creatures had always been there, but our adult eyes had chased them away? In this exhibition, it's time to reveal them again. Because as terrifying as they may be, they have things to tell us about our fears, our unfulfilled needs, our disturbed attachments, and our solitude. And it is in this solitude that I have made a place for them. A collection of what wanders in my head. After all... aren't they made from pieces of broken men, they say? Welcome.
