Come with your friends (single or not) to see a show hosted by a comedian, in a room where everyone's status in the audience is identified by a bracelet given at the entrance: Green: I'm not matched, come chat with me! Yellow: Other (e.g., open couple) Red: Already matched (For those accompanying friends, for example) *Use code AMIS for 10% off when purchasing 3 tickets or more* We offer a small icebreaker contest at the entrance to facilitate contact, but otherwise, we let you approach each other. (There will be about 80 people in total in the room.) On the program, in summary: 7:30 PM | Arrival and Icebreaker Game: You'll receive your colored bracelet and a small contest to fill out while chatting with others. Arrive early to participate and possibly win a prize! 8:00 PM | The Dating Show: Hosted by the excellent comedian Charlie Morin. This is not classic stand-up: expect dating-themed games on stage with volunteer participants, crowdwork (audience interaction), and lots of laughs. (To see it all in images and videos more concretely, we advise you to check out our Instagram!) 9:30 PM | After the Show | Mix & Mingle: We'll keep the atmosphere going to allow you to continue your discussions started before the show. This is our most self-directed format. If no one interests you, you don't have to talk to anyone. We hope, however, that our show will make you laugh! It's a quite unique experience, unlike any classic "comedy night." Don't miss it, we only have a few performances a year! Know that if you sit close to the stage, as in a classic comedy show, it's very possible that the comedian hosting the show will address you! ;) If you are rather shy, we recommend choosing a seat a little further away. - The Match-Me Philosophy: We create the context, you create the contact. In a traditional bar or public place, it's almost impossible to know who is available, who wants to be approached, or who is simply there to have a quiet evening with friends. This uncertainty often creates an invisible barrier. The Dating Show breaks down this wall. A show above all. If you meet someone you click with, great! If you don't meet anyone who interests you, your evening is not lost: you will have laughed (we hope), discovered new comedians, and had a good time. Clarity: The color code eliminates guesswork. You no longer have to wonder if the person smiling at you is single or if you risk creating an awkward situation by approaching them. The bracelet is your pass: it clearly indicates your intentions and those of others. Legitimacy to approach: Here, "social permission" is the rule, not the exception.
