Workshop - Introduction to Linocut Printing on Fabric
Personalize your textiles with your own print! Katarina invites you to explore the fascinating world of linocut printing on fabric with a 4-hour introductory workshop, specially designed to guide you through all the steps of this artisanal printing technique. From creating the design to the final print, including carving and inking, you will learn to master each stage of the process to print on your own textiles. Linocut is a "relief printing" technique, which involves removing all the parts of the linoleum plate that you do not wish to print. Ink is then applied to the raised areas using a roller, and the design is transferred by pressure with a spoon, a baren, or a press. Workshop Objectives: • Learn the basics of linocut printing applied to textiles, from design to printing • Discover the specific tools and materials for this technique • Experiment with the different stages of the carving and printing process • Create unique and personalized works • Leave with your printing plate, your personalized prints, and new skills This workshop is open to everyone, with no prerequisites in drawing or printmaking. Whether you are a beginner or have some artistic experience, this workshop is for you. The only requirement is the desire to discover and create!
