Free Evening Tour at the Maritime Museum of Île d'Orléans

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM, the Musée maritime de l’île d’Orléans (formerly Parc maritime de Saint-Laurent) will exceptionally open its doors in the evening: a free night tour to discover the island's maritime history in a new light, just two days before the site's seasonal closure on October 12. The activity is cancelled in case of rain (source: Tourisme Île d’Orléans, consulted on September 3, 2026; seasonal schedule and rates: museemaritimeio.ca). Located at 120, chemin de la Chalouperie, in Saint-Laurent-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, the museum recounts the era when the village built river boats and vessels, with its shipyard and archive. During the day, regular admission is $12 for adults and $8 for 13-17 year olds, free for 12 and under: the evening of October 10 is therefore a great opportunity to discover it for free.
