On Sunday, September 27, 2026, as part of the Journées de la culture, artist Maud Besson will give a free conference on her career and creative process at the Musée maritime de l’île d’Orléans, in Saint-Laurent-de-l’Île-d’Orléans. The meeting will take place in the site's permanent shelter. The exact time had not yet been published at the time of writing; the museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Sources: Tourisme Île d’Orléans, consulted September 5, 2026; schedule and rates: museemaritimeio.ca). Her seasonal exhibition “Le Fleuve Saint-Laurent au fil de l’eau,” presented in the museum's interpretation center, is inspired by the history of coastal shipping in Quebec and the Saint-Laurent shipyard (Source: journal Autour de l’île). The site, open daily until October 12, includes the Godbout ship shed, the R.F. Grant tugboat, and the F.-X. Lachance exhibition. Regular admission is $12 for adults, $8 for 13-17 year olds, and free for 12 and under; the conference itself is free to attend.
