First Novel Book Club

Discovering new literary voices, sharing reading impressions, exchanging points of view, and helping to promote tomorrow's writers: that's the spirit of the Rendez-vous du premier roman. Led by bookseller Patrick Bilodeau, the First Novel Book Club meets two to three times a month to discuss a selection of first novels from Quebec and France. Throughout the meetings, participants are invited to share their favorites, debate the works read, and vote for the novels that have most marked them. The reading season begins in September and ends in February, when each club sends its favorite books to the organization, which compiles the votes from all the book clubs. .
