Bread Oven Demonstration at the Jesuits' Mill: Free Old-Fashioned Baking

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Moulin des Jésuites de Charlesbourg will light its outdoor bread oven for a free demonstration, as part of the Culture Days. Participants will observe old-fashioned baking and can bake their own small ball of dough, ready to bake; while it bakes, participants will churn their butter. The activity is aimed at children aged 7 to 12 accompanied by an adult, and free tickets must be reserved online. In case of bad weather, it may be cancelled (sources: moulindesjesuites.org and Québec animée, consulted September 7, 2026). Note: from August 17 to October, enhancement work is underway in the Mill's gardens; parking and nearby streets remain accessible during the work, according to the Mill.
