Bread Oven Demonstration at the Moulin des Jésuites: Free Old-Fashioned Baking

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the Moulin des Jésuites de Charlesbourg will light its outdoor bread oven for a free demonstration as part of the Journées de la culture. Visitors can observe old-fashioned baking and everyone can bake their own small loaf of bread, brought ready to bake; during baking, participants churn their own butter. The activity is aimed at children aged 7 to 12 accompanied by an adult, and free tickets must be reserved online. Note: from August 17 to October, enhancement work is being done on the Moulin's gardens; parking and nearby streets remain accessible during the work, according to the Moulin.
