Rangs | passages, sound installation by Mériol Lehmann at Maison Girardin
Maison Girardin
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Maison Girardin, 600, avenue Royale, in Beauport, will continuously present “rangs | passages,” a sound installation by media artist Mériol Lehmann. Using recordings and photographs, the artist documents the landscapes, both sonic and visual, that agricultural industrialization is transforming in the Quebec countryside, and advocates for human-scale agriculture. Free admission, for youth and adults. The installation is only presented on this day, on the occasion of L’avenue Royale roule (sources: Québec animée and Société d’art et d’histoire de Beauport, consulted on September 7, 2026). Voilà Québec recommendation: L’avenue Royale runs through the Old Village of Beauport and its old houses; on the same day, the neighborhood is celebrating for L’avenue Royale roule. For the rest of the month, see what to do in Quebec City in September.
