La planante improvisée au Parc Victoria: free musical stroll
Parc Victoria
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., a quartet from the Ligue d’improvisation musicale de Québec will set up in Parc Victoria, in Saint-Roch, and compose on the spot a long musical fable inspired by nature and ambient sounds. La planante improvisée is part of Québec animée's "musical ambiance" cultural strolls; the activity is free and takes place rain or shine, unless conditions compromise the safety of the artists or the public (thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rain). Source: Québec animée, Ville de Québec, consulted on September 7, 2026. Other dates in the series: Saturday, September 12 (Parc Armand-Grenier), Sunday, September 13 (Parc de la plage Jacques-Cartier), Sunday, September 20 (Maison O’Neill), always from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Voilà Québec recommendation: an hour of music in a park, without a ticket, fits between two visits. For the rest of the weekend, see our weekend program and our page on what to do in Quebec City in September.
