Davis Cup in Quebec City: Canada vs. France at the Centre Vidéotron, September 18 and 19

On Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Centre Vidéotron (250, boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, on the ExpoCité site) will host the second round of Davis Cup qualifiers: Team Canada presented by IGA will face France. The winner earns a spot in the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, Italy, in November 2026. This is the first Davis Cup match held in Quebec City since October 4-6, 1974, when Canada lost 4-1 to Mexico (sources: Tennis Canada, Gestev, and Ticketmaster, consulted September 10, 2026). The format is played over two days. On Friday, starting at 5 p.m., two singles matches. On Saturday, starting at 2 p.m., one doubles match followed by two singles matches, the last of which may be canceled if the tie is already decided. TVA Sports will broadcast the match in French. Tickets are on sale on Ticketmaster, starting at $51 per session as of September 10, 2026, with two-day packages, Canada and France fan sections, and courtside seats. The Saturday Canada fan zone and the two-day package for this zone are sold out; the France zone remains available. ExpoCité parking can be paid on-site by cash or card. Voilà Québec's advice: arrive early on Saturday and have dinner at the Grand Marché de Québec, next to the arena, where the Harvest and Transformation Day is being held the same day.
