Grand Harvest Festival at the Grand Marché de Québec, September 19 and 20
Le Grand Marché de Québec
On Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Grand Marché de Québec, on the ExpoCité site, celebrates the abundance of harvests: all activities of this Grand Harvest Festival are free, most from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the program for both days, country dance initiation (from 11 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.), hot dog grilling by So-Cho Le Saucissier from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., face painting for children by Kromatik from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., family games and a floral arrangement workshop at Créations Fleur & Papillon (source: legrandmarchedequebec.com, consulted September 12, 2026). Saturday also features fruit and vegetable carving by Mia Bureau (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), a parent-child carving workshop at 1:30 p.m. (30 spots, on-site registration) and a booth on preserving harvests; it is also this Saturday that the Harvest and Transformation day of the Québec animée program takes place at the market, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, Chef Laurie-Jane Couture gives four culinary demonstrations (10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.) featuring seasonal products from the merchants, and La Cour arrière de Québec offers a 15% discount starting at 5 p.m. Voilà Québec tip: the same weekend, the nearby Centre Vidéotron hosts the Davis Cup Canada vs. France, Friday and Saturday; combining the two makes for a full day at ExpoCité. Our listing for the Grand Marché de Québec presents year-round producers, and more ideas can be found in what to do in Quebec City this weekend and what to do in Quebec City in September.
