Quebec City, a dream city in Armand-Grenier Park: a live painting, Saturday, September 19
Parc Armand-Grenier
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Parc Armand-Grenier, in the Vieux-Bourg de Beauport, hosts "Québec, ville de rêve" (Quebec City, a dream city). For sixty minutes, an artist paints a work before the public's eyes, accompanied by a musical group, drawing inspiration from the location, the landscape, and the people present. Everyone can lend a hand on the canvas or simply watch it take shape; each performance results in a different creation. The activity is part of the "musical ambiance" cultural walks animated by Québec animée; it is free and takes place rain or shine, unless conditions compromise the safety of the artists or the public (thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rain). Source: Québec animée, Ville de Québec, accessed September 11, 2026. Other events in the series: Sunday, September 20 at Parc de la plage Jacques-Cartier, Saturday, September 26 at Parc Victoria, Sunday, September 27 at Maison O’Neill, always from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Voilà Québec's tip: the same afternoon at 2 p.m., La planante improvisée plays at Parc Victoria, in Saint-Roch; two atmospheres, two neighborhoods, one time slot. Location details are in our file on Parc Armand-Grenier, free outings in what to do for free in Quebec City, and the rest of the month in what to do in Quebec City in September.
