Spira is pleased to invite you to the launch of the second year of the film club Vu·es Pluri·elles! The screening will be followed by a discussion with the public in the presence of Magalie Lefebvre Jean, a Quebec author, researcher-teacher, and speaker. Her work lies at the intersection of sociology, feminist studies, anti-racist perspectives, and reflections on racialized and biracial identities in Quebec. Through this program of short films, the session offers a space for intersectional feminist discussion on how the representations of women's bodies influence our relationship with ourselves, in a media landscape where beauty standards are still largely associated with whiteness. Who teaches us to love ourselves?
