A Look at the Sun

Participate in this outdoor observation activity of our turbulent star! If the weather permits, you are invited to come and observe the Sun using a specialized and very safe telescope. It allows you to see its crown of prominences, its surface including granulation, filaments, and sunspots. If the weather does not permit, the activity will be replaced by a talk: The Sun, Our Star. A presentation showing solar characteristics and explaining various mechanisms at its core. This activity is presented as part of the exhibition tour "Lumière sur le soleil" with the Cassiopée astronomy club, a production of the Fédération des astronomes amateurs du Québec.
