Unusual Trails: Walk and discover arts at the Sainte-Foy outdoor recreation center, October 2 to 4
Base de plein air de Sainte-Foy
From Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Sainte-Foy outdoor recreation center, at 3137, rue Laberge, invites you to explore its trails to discover the works of Sentiers insolites, the public art exhibition by the duo Cooke-Sasseville, presented by the Ville de Québec and produced by EXMURO. Access is free. Jean-François Cooke and Pierre Sasseville, partners since 2000, are installing monumental sculptures around the lake and along the trails that blend humor, social satire, and popular culture: Le fruit maudit, three giant hooded figures gathered around a golden apple at the bend of a forest trail; La dernière scène, two giant white-tailed deer that seem to emerge from the bog, visible from the footbridge; L’Odyssée, three giant pigeons in front of a can of Campbell's soup by the water; and a fourth work, a floating installation. EXMURO presents the exhibition in October 2026. Public parking available at the center. The activity takes place rain or shine, unless conditions compromise public safety (sources: Québec animée and exmuro.com, consulted on September 30, 2026). For the rest of the weekend: what to do this weekend in Quebec City and what to do in Quebec City in October.
