Accessible outdoor activity at Jacques-Cartier beach: adapted chairs available for loan from October 2 to 4, equipment trial on the 3rd
Parc de la plage Jacques-Cartier
From Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Jacques-Cartier beach park, at 3636, chemin du Pavillon in Cap-Rouge, offers free loan of adapted chairs to explore its riverside trails. The City presents this accessible hike as a way to open outdoor activities to more people. On Saturday, October 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the ARLPH de la Capitale-Nationale (Association régionale de loisir pour personnes handicapées, arlph03.com) will add a free trial session at the same location for adapted chairs designed to facilitate access to natural spaces. Both activities take place rain or shine, unless conditions compromise public safety (source: Québec animée, consulted on September 30, 2026). For the rest of the weekend: what to do this weekend in Quebec City and what to do in Quebec City in October.
