Ghost Hunt at L'Îlot des Palais: Family Investigation in the Vaults, October 23 to 25
L’Îlot des Palais
From Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, during opening hours, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., L'Îlot des Palais, 8, rue Vallière, in the Old Port, is holding a ghost hunt in its vaults for families. The scenario: an entity haunts the archaeological site of the intendant's palaces, the archives identify five suspects linked to the site's history, and the ghost has scattered five excerpts from its diary in the vaults. Visitors find the excerpts, fill out their suspect sheet, and reveal its identity; young detectives leave with a sweet reward. The activity is included in the entrance ticket: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $6 for 13-17 year olds, $3 for 5-12 year olds, free for 4 year olds and under (source: ilotdespalais.ca, consulted October 1, 2026). On the same weekend, L'Étrange Carnaval takes over the Jardins de l'Hôtel-de-Ville in Haute-Ville, and on October 30 and 31, L'Îlot offers a lantern-lit guided tour for ages 12 and up. All of the season's outings are gathered on our Halloween in Quebec City 2026 page, and Québec en famille classifies activities by age.
