Fridays, October 23 and Saturdays, October 24, 2026 only, Les Promenades Fantômes present their Halloween Special in Old Quebec: a 2h15 street theater performance led by the executioner Jean Rattier or his wife Marie Rivière, a Fille du Roy, during which fifteen costumed and made-up characters emerge along the route to recount the crimes of New France. Departure from 44, chaussée des Écossais, in front of the Morrin Centre; online reservation required, departure times posted at the ticket office; $39.14 plus tax, totaling $45. For the rest of the month, the company performs Crimes in New France on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. from the Morrin Centre ($25 for 90 minutes) and La mort en Nouvelle-France on Sundays, October 4, 11, and 18 at 8:30 p.m. from the monument of Mgr de Laval (1h15, $25).
