Mardi Gras
Grand Théâtre de Québec
The Winston Band invites you to its traditional Mardi Gras celebration! For the occasion, The Winston Band presents a mix of original songs and traditional repertoire from Louisiana and elsewhere, in a high-energy atmosphere. Welcome aboard, welcome to the Carnival! As is customary, costumes are required. Le Winston Band is a Quebec band that draws on the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana to create unifying songs inspired by zydeco: let's call it Montreal zydeco. Founded in 2012, the group has over 600 performances to its credit, having toured its music across Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the United States – in addition to orchestrating a Montreal Mardi Gras celebration since 2014. Combining invigorating compositions and revisited roots, the guys have several releases, including Zig Zag Zydeco Zoo (2019), Winston Express (2023), and Enwèye à Lafayette (2021, awarded Best World Music Album at the GAMIQ). They released "Attention, c’est chaud!" in the winter of 2026, their fourth full-length album (and first under the Simone Records label). With over a dozen years under their belt, Le Winston Band is just getting started making you groove. Salt your beans – and join the party! A presentation of the Grand Théâtre de Québec
