L'objet de ma tendresse
Presented in the projection room of the Aire publique, L’objet de ma tendresse is an immersive video installation by Dgino Cantin. Through projections, screens, and visual illusions, the artist creates a contemplative universe centered on an abstract sculpture with hybrid and organic forms. This contemporary art exhibition in Quebec offers a sensitive reflection on our emotional relationship with objects. Filmed in a rustic lakeside cottage, the film features a solitary man sharing his daily life with this strange sculpture, which he handles with gentleness and care. The effects of light, transparency, and reflection blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, reality and fiction. The work explores the silent bond that develops between an individual and an object imbued with affection, evoking a desire to slow down and reconnect with the sensitive world.
