After the success of LACRIMA, Caroline Guiela Nguyen is back in Quebec City to present SAÏGON, a moving choral work full of humanity. The characters travel between Vietnam in 1956 and France in 1996, framed by the same stage space: a Vietnamese restaurant. In this spectacular and hyperrealistic scenography, intimate trajectories cross, stories of love, family, friendship, and exile are woven, caught in the whirlwind of grand History. After a triumphant tour in more than a dozen countries, SAÏGON tells us about the ghosts of Indochina and reminds us that the echoes of History are always heard in the stories of those who carry its weight.
