Atelier yoga-balles – Du bois au feu: déployer l’énergie de l’été
Over the seasons, the body's energy transforms. In spring, according to Chinese medicine, the wood element sets us in motion. It is associated with the liver and gallbladder organs, the legs, the hips, and the ability to move forward in life. As summer approaches, this energy evolves towards the fire element. Fire is associated with the heart, circulation, vitality, and joy. It opens the chest, supports breathing, and promotes a sense of expansion and connection. Between these two dynamics, there is a moment of stabilization: earth. Earth allows us to integrate the movement of spring and create a stable foundation to welcome the more expansive energy of summer. During this two-hour workshop, we will explore this transition from wood to fire, passing through earth, through a gentle practice of yoga-balles. This workshop will notably offer: • self-massages to release the legs and hips, to continue the work of wood; • exercises to stabilize the body and promote grounding through the feet; • a progressive opening of the chest, shoulders, and breathing; movements promoting circulation and lightness, associated with the energy of fire. The practice is done using different TRP therapeutic balls, including the mama ball, the papa ball, twin balls, and baby balls. These tools allow for gentle and deep action on muscles, fascia, and joints, while promoting relaxation of the nervous system. This workshop is an invitation to accompany the transition to summer by allowing the body to let energy circulate, open up breathing, and welcome the vitality of the season.
