Scène Crave – Place D’Youville
Liam Shortall, aka corto.alto, is a rising Scottish composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His debut album Bad With Names was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize and named Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards. In 2025, he won Act of the Year (Jazz FM Awards) and UK Independent Breakthrough (AIM Awards). Now signed to Ninja Tune, he blends jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk, and electronic music. With over 150 concerts in two years and support from major media outlets, corto.alto is establishing himself as a key figure on the contemporary scene.
