Formed in the early 2010s, The Brooks has established itself as a true groove machine, electrifying on record and on stage. This supergroup brings together bassist Alexandre Lapointe, singer and trombonist Alan Prater, guitarist Philippe Look, and percussionist Philippe Beaudin. Navigating between funk, soul, r'n'b, afrobeat, and jazz, their music combines inventiveness, virtuosity, and the joy of playing. With five albums to their name, including the recent Soon As I Can (2024), The Brooks celebrates over 50 years of evolution in African-American music, respecting its roots while remaining resolutely modern.
