Bricknasty
Scène Loto-Québec – Place George-V
Today, the Irish quintet Bricknasty released their new EP BLACKS LAW, marking their boldest, most determined, and most spiritual project to date. Following a string of standout singles, the warped ferocity of « go get that blade », the haunting traditional folk elegy « is é a locht a laghad », and the visceral urgency of « i hope you're ready » (featuring F3miii), BLACKS LAW unveils a new facet of the Dublin collective's uncompromising vision. Across nine tracks, the band tackles faith, addiction, political disillusionment, and human volatility with brutal honesty and limitless sonic inventiveness. The project's centerpiece, « eternity in grace », is a heartfelt tribute to D'Angelo, an artist to whom Bricknasty attributes much of their musical foundation and spiritually infused inspiration of innovative soul and groove.
