An Evening with Tibetan Monks
For the benefit of the Gajang Monastery in India – evening of chants and Tibetan meal About the event An evening with Tibetan monks! Evening with chants, meditation, mantras, teaching on compassion and Tibetan vegetarian meal. Welcome everyone! An evening in the company of Tibetan monks, including chants, meditation and teaching on compassion. The monks will also prepare a Tibetan vegetarian meal; you can also choose this option if you wish. You can choose the option: • chants only (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM) • chants and meal (5:30 PM to 9:00 PM) The Gajang Monastery was founded in Tibet in 1409 by the great Tibetan master Tsongkhapa. Following its destruction in 1959, it was rebuilt in Southern India following the exile of H.H. the Dalai Lama and several Tibetans. The monastery and the 2000 monks who live there survive only on the kindness of the donations they receive. This activity therefore helps to support the Tibetan monks in completing their studies and working spiritually for the happiness of all sentient beings and for peace in the world. Lama Samten and Tenzin Gawa (Jason) will accompany the invited Gajang monks during this evening. Places are very limited. Looking forward to seeing you there!
