La onzième folie
Grand Théâtre de Québec
Lynda Lemay's "La vie est un conte de fous" (Life is a Tale of Fools) has been revamped and given a new face. Her show "La vie est un conte de fous" has transformed into "La onzième folie" (The Eleventh Folly). It still features the same Lynda Lemay, the same freedom, and the same musicians on stage. However, the journey into the heart of life now takes different paths. It's the same intensity in new feelings, in emotions that manage to be stronger than ever. It's the same roller coaster on a brand-new ride. The lighting, masterfully handled by Pierre Roy for decades, showcases all its splendor, and the sound, managed by a prodigy in the field, makes the instruments resonate in our hearts and Lynda's voice vibrate in our souls. It's about the same world, but under different lights. In this new show, Lynda renews her interpretations, pushes improvisation even further, gets carried away, laughs, and interacts with her loyal audience. At the piano, guitar, and backing vocals, a complicit and warm Claude Pineault spontaneously creates arrangement miracles. The same goes for Marc Angers, who sways, vibrant with emotion, his chin resting on his magical violin. "La onzième folie" coincides with Lynda's eleventh tour of her life. Indeed, eleven is a lucky number.
