A cinematic vision of an epic rooted in Indigenous land, in Nova Scotia. 1755, the Acadians are deported... A scar that the passage of time struggles to erase. An epic fresco that tells the story of legendary lovers. A deported love, that of the revolutionaries Évangéline and Gabriel, while within them burns the heart of Acadia. Even today, a troubled memory inhabits us, as we keep in mind the ties woven between the French people and the Mi’Kmaq Nation. Évangéline and Gabriel will lead us on the paths of a quest filled with hope and healing.
