Philippe B
Théâtre du Petit Champlain/Maison de la chanson
Philippe B's precious and vibrant folk song has resonated on our music scene for over 20 years. Recognized as one of our most brilliant singer-songwriters, the artist originally from Abitibi made his mark with a series of albums warmly welcomed by critics and the public: Variations fantômes (2011), Ornithologie, la nuit (2014), La grande nuit vidéo (2017), and most recently, Nouvelle administration (2023), on which he sensitively explores the events that transformed his life in recent years, notably his fatherhood. If the finesse and ingenuity of his arrangements have been repeatedly highlighted, it is above all for the beauty of his melodies and the disarming intimacy of his lyrics that his work continues to touch so many people; even reduced to their simplest expression, Philippe B's songs show rare depth. It is with this in mind that he will present a series of intimate solo performances in 2026. Alternating between acoustic guitar and piano, Philippe B, alone on stage, invites us to rediscover him from a new angle: more raw and personal, but always just as poignant. An opportunity his fans will certainly not want to miss.
