HOME ALONE - Live in Concert
Grand Théâtre de Québec
A true holiday classic, this beloved comedy features the charming and delightful music of renowned composer John Williams, performed live by the Orchestre symphonique de Québec. Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for their Christmas vacation, and must defend his home against two bumbling burglars. Hilarious and heartwarming, Home Alone (© 1990 Twentieth Century Fo) is a Christmas entertainment for the whole family! Since its release, Home Alone has held a special place in the hearts of a very wide audience. Director Chris Columbus managed to bring a fresh and innocent perspective to this endearing story, and the film has naturally become an essential holiday tradition. I had immense pleasure composing the music for this film and I am particularly happy that the magnificent Orchestre symphonique de Québec has agreed to perform the score during this screening of the film with live orchestra. I believe I can speak on behalf of everyone who participated in the creation of the film when I say that we are deeply honored by this event… and I hope the audience tonight will feel, once again, the renewed pleasure that this film continues to bring, year after year. — John Williams A presentation by the Orchestre symphonique de Québec
