At the priest's death, two graves were dug: one on each side of the cemetery fence. For three days and three nights of vigil by the body, the entire village had to debate about which side to lay him: in blessed ground or on the other side. You never really know who you're dealing with… To each their own story, their own truth. While we thought we knew everything about the life of this man with the rosary, the surprise was great upon hearing the story the widow told during the funeral vigils. Hanging on her lips, we discovered the unsuspected truths and secrets of Mr. the priest — and especially saw the grand, bizarre judgment of the legendary popular tribunal of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton unfold.
