50 ans, de la Bottine à aujourd'hui
Grand Théâtre de Québec
To celebrate his 50-year career, Yves Lambert offers a generous and festive show that explores the vast repertoire he has built since his very beginnings with La Bottine Souriante up to the present day. With an orchestration that tends towards new harmonic and rhythmic avenues, Lambert presents his best-known titles such as La ziguezon, La cuisinière, and Dans nos vieilles maisons, as well as several songs that have shaped his journey, imbued with sonic textures that always affirm his passionate, open, and creative "québécitude"! For the occasion, he will be accompanied on stage by his Grand Orchestre, composed of 7 musicians: Paul Audy (guitar, vocals), Robin Boulianne (violin, mandolin, podorhythm, vocals), Mathieu Royer (double bass), Geneviève St-Pierre (keyboards), and a warm wind section with Mélanie Bourassa (bass clarinet and clarinet), Mary Chalk (bassoon), and Gabriel Schwartz (saxophone, flute, piccolo, and percussion). “I am a lover of harmony, regardless of the musical style, and right now, I have musicians who are truly virtuosos. Even though I have a rocker's temperament, even when playing folk music, you feel sensitivity. It's fluid, it's beautiful, it's audacious, it has all the qualities.” - Yves Lambert A presentation by the Grand Théâtre de Québec
