Les Grands Explorateurs
Grand Théâtre de Québec
Encounter with Mario Introia Mario Introia is back and unveils the third installment dedicated to his native Italy. Originally from this country, he will undoubtedly transport you through water and mountains through his explorer's eye. Discover the charm of Puglia, a region bathed by two seas with a rich history. Then, head to Umbria, Italy's secret heart, where nature asserts itself as a living and silent presence. Finally, explore the vertiginous Dolomites, these mountains of light that will leave you speechless. Admire its lakes, torrents, forests, and suspended villages that bear witness to a harsh and fragile world. Mario Introia offers a contemplative itinerary, giving voice back to an inner and sensitive Italy. Rediscover this country at the human scale, of rock and light, where past and present unite in the same song: that of beauty, work, and memory. This film-conference takes you on a journey into the heart of deep Italy, where history, nature, and know-how weave a living narrative of beauty, faith, and simplicity. Biography of Mario Introia An experienced filmmaker, independent producer, and speaker, Mario Introia was born in Italy and uses his documentaries as an instrument for memory and the transmission of knowledge and history. From a young age, he was involved in environmental protection movements, driven by a wonder for the diversity and beauty of life. A true explorer, he has traveled across the planet: from the savannas of East Africa to the Amazon rainforest, including the Arctic regions where he accompanied the Sami people on one of the last great reindeer migrations. After making about twenty documentaries, he decided in recent years to focus on his country of origin, Italy. After "Bella Italia" and "Splendeurs de l’Italie" (available in our Signature collection), he now presents his third installment on this country.
