Calamine

Calamine is a queer and feminist rapper, beatmaker, and DJ based in Montreal. Through committed lyrics, she addresses social justice, feminism, queer identity, and various contemporary political issues. On stage, she is accompanied by her DJ and co-producer Kèthe Magané, as well as saxophonist Valérie Lachance-Guillemette. Awarded the Félix-Leclerc prize in 2021, she is also Révélation Radio-Canada and a finalist for the Francouvertes. Her three albums have won the “Hip-hop Album” award at the GAMIQ, confirming her major place on the Quebec music scene.
