Les Boys
Salle Albert-Rousseau
Theater — Owner of a brasserie and coach of a very, very amateur hockey team, Stan loses a colossal sum of money playing poker against Méo, a loan shark he considers his friend. For Stan to pay off his debt, Méo has an idea: they will play winner-take-all on the ice, as part of a hockey game. If Stan's team wins, the debt is erased. But if they lose… Méo becomes the owner of his precious brasserie. While Méo gathers a band of tough guys and ex-convicts, Stan can only count on his boys. His team is composed of men from different backgrounds, united by nothing perhaps but their love for hockey and the beer they drink together after the games… To come to the aid of the one who is more than their coach, they will have to put aside their differences and learn the true meaning of friendship. More than 25 years after its release, Guillaume Corbeil and Marc St-Martin revisit Louis Saia's film, based on an original idea by Richard Goudreau and a screenplay by Christian Fournier, by bringing it to the stage. This is an opportunity to rediscover Quebec's most famous hockey team (OK, maybe the second most famous…) and to remember the importance of mental toughness.
