Sunny War
Scène Hydro-Québec – Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale
Sunny War's Armageddon in a Summer Dress is rooted in a period of disorientation, grief, and deep creative exploration. Moving into her late father's house, Sunny felt she was living among ghosts, visions later attributed to gas leaks, an experience that symbolically nourished the album. The songs question the boundaries between worlds, identities, and musical genres, blending blues, punk, folk, and roots with great freedom. After the success of Anarchist Gospel (2022) and an intensive tour, Sunny developed a fuller sound, designed for a full band. The album became a lucid and inhabited work, traversed by memories, lost possibilities, and a constant desire for limitless creation.
