My Mother is Data is a video installation work that explores Ahreum Lee's relationship with her distant biological mother, who has only communicated with her via email since childhood. Triggered by the false news of her death in 2014, the project examines the profound impact of decontextualized data on intimate relationships in our information-saturated world.
