Exposition en bibliothèque : Anne sort de son salon de Anne L’Heureux
Complexe Méduse
Ahkwayaonhkeh is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of the first exhibition from its new partnership with the Bibliothèque de Québec and KWE!. Anne L'Heureux, a member of the Wendat nation, grew up off-reserve. "Anne sort de son salon" (Anne Comes Out of Her Living Room) allows her to address current Indigenous issues and to be perceived. A fervent artistic experimenter, fused glass, which she has practiced since 2009, allows her to explore her vast sources of inspiration and the material limits of the medium; exciting both her scientific and creative spirit. Recently, she has returned to paper, which was her first preferred medium. With a pictorial language where the rigor of the grid is associated with swirling and light forms, "Anne sort de son salon" speaks to us of her story; this story in which she tries to fill the gaps left by a missing brother, the stolen land, generations torn from their culture. Whatever the gaps to fill and the links to re-establish, there is always the choice of hope to reconcile and appease. This site uses cookies to improve your browsing experience.
