Une pièce de théâtre écrite par François Pérusse
Grand Théâtre de Québec
With Édith Cochrane, Martin Héroux, Erich Preach, Marie-Ève Trudel, David-Alexandre Després, and Philippe Racine The six artists will evolve in a controlled chaos that gives form to the color, rhythm, and unique architecture of François Pérusse's writing. *Note that François Pérusse will not be on stage. Boulevard Pérusse After many years making the Francophonie laugh with his cult albums (over 2 million sold) and his works on radio and television, François Pérusse signs his very first original play in the purest Boulevard tradition. The plot of Boulevard Pérusse revolves around a Quebec family, founders of a multinational company that invents and manufactures practically everything, in a totally ecological way. But a problem arises... one of its factories is taken over in a country governed by a dictator. Chaos ensues between the company and the Quebec Minister of Commerce! The family even receives a visit from an employee of this factory... who has fled his country to denounce the situation to the bosses. People are in danger there, action must be taken quickly. The story holds up. But... it's written by François Pérusse! So we can expect slamming doors, twisted wordplay, overflows in the script and dialogues, characters appearing out of nowhere, etc. And to top it all off, one of the protagonists is not human and it is Pérusse's voice that embodies it. This unprecedented play is a true stage extension of the "Pérusse style": ambient sounds that mark his universe, zany and absurd situations, scattered dialogues, and perfectly assumed derailments. It's funny, unpredictable, and resolutely unique! Note: For those interested: Boulevard theater was born in the 18th century and is dedicated to entertainment, characterized by the performance of intrigue comedies and vaudevilles. For example, Louis de Funès films, Le dîner de cons, etc. A presentation by the Grand Théâtre de Québec
