Botanical Imprints – Cyanotype and Garden Memory
After a brief presentation on the link between the Augustines and nature, you will be invited to pick some natural elements to immortalize them using cyanotype, an ancient photographic process that uses sunlight to reveal Prussian blue prints. You will learn the steps of this fascinating technique: application of a photosensitive solution, composition of your image using the picked plants, exposure to the sun, then rinsing with clear water. The focus will be on the creative process, and you will leave with a unique artwork inspired by the Augustines' heritage. An artistic and sensory experience, in harmony with history and nature. In case of rain, the workshop will take place partly indoors.
