One summer, Nagisa, a city dweller, and Natsuo, a young man visiting relatives, meet by the sea. Their hesitant glances echo each other as they exchange awkward words and merge with the ocean, in the rain. In winter, Li, a screenwriter suffering from writer's block, travels to a snowy village with an old camera left behind by a deceased acquaintance. She discovers a rather dilapidated guesthouse run by the enigmatic Benzo. They struggle to understand each other, yet embark on an unexpected adventure.
